Every January our consultants argue about one thing: where should our travellers go this year? Here's where 2026's calendar, exchange rates and flight connections point.
For the bucket list: Serengeti & Ngorongoro
The great migration doesn't take a year off, and 2026's river-crossing season (July–September) is already booking fast. Pairing the northern Serengeti with the Ngorongoro Crater remains the single most spectacular week of safari on the continent.
For value: Zanzibar and the Kenyan coast
Beach holidays in Zanzibar, Diani and Watamu continue to outclass far pricier destinations. Direct regional flights keep costs down, and shoulder-season rates (June, early December) buy four-star comfort at three-star prices.
For city breaks: Dubai and Cape Town
Dubai's winter months - the Shopping Festival in January, mild beach weather, big hotel inventory - make it the easiest long-haul city break from Entebbe. Cape Town counters with summer on the opposite calendar, a weak rand, and arguably the best food-and-wine value anywhere.
Whichever direction you lean, start with dates and budget, and let a consultant build the itinerary around them - that order saves money every time.
